Join us to kick off the first of many holiday New Braunfels events with the annual Downtown Holiday Lighting celebration at the Main Plaza. Our Mayor Barron Casteel will arrive to “flip the switch” and will set the town aglow with a hundred thousand dazzling lights on display! Throughout the evening, you’ll find holiday treats, live music at the bandstand, and Santa will ride into the evening on a vintage fire truck! Shop at the Christmas Market
No need trying to figure out those last-minute holiday gifts as there is something for everyone at our annual Gruene Christmas Market Days. Enjoy free admission at one of the best New Braunfels events while you’re in the Gruene Historic District during your Texas getaways. In early December, choose individual one-of-a-kind items from nearly 100 vendors at the holiday market, listen to live music, take a picture with Cowboy Kringle, and grab Christmas treats!
Here We Come A-Wassailing
Perhaps you’ve never had the opportunity to try wassail before. You’ll be able to grab samples at the annual Wassailfest and Holiday Night Market during the first Thursday in December. Take a scenic stroll through the holiday market vendors with a warm cup of wassail as you sample food, check out sparkling light displays, and get yourself into the spirit of the season. While there are many holiday happenings near the end of the year, this is one of our favorite family-friendly holiday attractions in New Braunfels.
