This New Braunfels Home offers plenty of space! 5 Bedrooms, 3 & 1/2 bathrooms, on an acre of land between the 3rd & 4th crossing on the Guadalupe river. It has an outside shower cabana and a rec room that sports a big screen Smart TV and a Foosball table. Cook a great meal in the newly updated kitchen with granite counter tops, new back splash, stove, dishwasher and microwave! The dining table has seating for 6 and there are 6 chairs at the breakfast bar. There are also 6 padded folding chairs. The rec room has been newly renovated!! Fully enclosed, new LVP floors, fresh paint, and new AC/Heat! It also has 4 new sets of full over full bunk beds, which can accommodate 16 guests. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs; 3 with a Queen size bed and 1 with a King size bed. There is also a second living room upstairs with a smart TV and a new sofa sleeper that will sleep 2 guests. There are 2 full bathrooms upstairs and a half bathroom downstairs. The third restroom is the outside shower cabana which is newly built! High quality linens are provided for beds and bathrooms. All bedrooms have private access doors to wrap around decks, with view of the large shaded yard with beautiful pecan trees, and great view of the Guadalupe river. The upper deck also has two benches and a swing. The living room and the rec room have Smart TV's and there is Wi-Fi. Enjoy sitting down by the river in the brand new pavilion where the owner has placed a very high end fire pit (fire wood not provided) for your enjoyment as well as a propane grill! Jump in the wonderful Guadalupe with your direct river access! There are also 1 kayak and 2 canoes for your use! There are no life jackets provided, so be sure to bring a couple with you. The closest tube outfitter to the home is Little Ponderosa Outfitters which is just .4 miles away! Head on up to the Horseshoe and float right to your own backyard! 12 miles down river road to the historic Gruene Hall, and many restaurants, 3 miles up river to Canyon Lake. Sattler is the closest town at 2.5 miles away, with a grocery store that stocks everything from a sandwich to an inner tube. There are many breakfast and BBQ places in the area as well! Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property. No pets allowed. This home has a maximum occupancy of 26 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. You can park up to 10 vehicles at this property. To comply with city and county short-term rental permit restrictions, the outdoor areas of this home are monitored by video camera. This property includes accidental damage protection up to $3000. Family retreat

Going on 5 years now my family has used this property as a vacation location. We have found the management (owners as well), easy to work with in all respects. Whether is is canoeing, fly fishing, bird-watching (Egyptian Geese & Bald Eagles), or just relaxing with the family this place has always delivered.

Great group vacation home!

This is my second time renting this home and I love it even more! The house is clean and very spacious. They have upgraded to a huge dining room table with more seats. The main stars are the wrap around porch and the backyard. Direct river access is everything and this location is perfect. Kitchen has plenty of items, just lacking the basic seasonings. Overall, we enjoy bringing our big group to this property. My only suggestion is upgraded couches, maybe a sectional. The current option can seat maybe 5 people.

Great location

The location is really nice, offering natural stone-like "steps" to access the river; however, they are not very even, so you must exercise caution. Small children were carried down. The river was shallow and we could place our chairs in this area. And of course the river deepened into the center where we fly fished or floated! Ponderosa tubing was .5 mile down the road...very convenient! Quick notes: The grill was new and perfect for our meals! They had two propane tanks, one completely full. Two refrigerators made life easier! The ice maker was not producing much ice. Both a a regular coffee maker and a keurig were available. The upgraded the dining table easily accommodated 12 adults. The master has an attached bathroom, only pictured in the video, not in the still photos. Overall the home suited us well, 12 adults and 3 toddlers/babies. We would rent again! Thank you!

Perfect for big group!

The house and property are beautiful, better than described! So much shade in the backyard great river access, lovely outdoor seating areas, and the house was perfect for our group of 15. It was a mother/son trip (but our sons are 18-19 year olds) and the bunk room with all the full beds was perfect for 8-9 boys, then the 4 bedrooms upstairs slept the 6 moms comfortably and we could have easily had room for 2 more adults. Having the canoes and kayaks was fun for the boys!

Maier Family Christmas

This house/property was amazing! It was the perfect spot for our family to gather for Christmas!! The home is beautiful! The fire pit we used daily! We canoed on the river, played games by the fire and loved every minute of our time there and even extended a 4th night. On a scale of 1-10 it was an 11! And the staff at New Braunfels Escapes were incredible! They were so responsive and helpful. I looked for the right place for over a week and found this one when I called them last minute. The only thing that could be improved would be a bigger hot water heater (if several of us needed to shower the hot water was gone pretty quickly). I’ll stay here again for sure!

Perfect little getaway!

Great in the fall, probably even better in summer

It was great. Had 25 guests. I didn't realize until arrival that "sleeps 26" means everyone would need to share a bed. So I ended up with guys sleeping on couches and air mattresses but other than that no complaints at all! Would definitely come back with 10-18 people.

Birthday getaway

We were 12 adults from 21 to 83. The many levels were hard for the two oldest to navigate but that has to be expected on hillside property. The kitchen is better equipped than mine at home! Beautiful weather allowed us to use the large porches to relax and visit. Cable TV allowed us to watch the Astro clench the playoffs!!

Our Home Away From Home

We love staying at Player's Place. This is now our 3rd summer in a row to stay here for our "adults only" trip, and we love it. Plan to stay for years to come. We did notice some small, and some not-so-small improvements since last summer and appreciate it! The one suggestion we have is to update a few of the mattresses (ex: the two rooms at the back (river side) of the upstairs), and to make them all Queen size or larger. Upgrading the full size bed to a Queen or King makes a huge comfort difference for 2 adults. Other than that, we love it!

Fantastic!

Our group has been coming to the Guadalupe River for almost 20 years and only a few years ago did we come across this little gem. It is always clean, more than enough room for our crew that ranges anywhere from 16-20+ adults, it has great access to the river where we can either float the river to the house, or from the house with drop off and pick up help from Little Ponderosa - or simply sit your booty in the water right in the back! We couldn't ask for better location or accommodations and we will continue to come back to Players Place year after year

Great Family Vacation

We had a total of 16 people. Me and my 4 kids + spouses and grandchildren. This was by far one of the better homes on the river that accommodated all of us. The massive bunk room was perfect for the 8 grandkids. The river access was easily accessible which has been an issue at prior rentals. They had 2 refrigerators which was nice for all our drinks/food. 10 out of 10 would recommend for large family vacations.

Great place for a big family

Family reunion with 11 adults

This was a perfect location for our family reunion. The large round dining table was great for meals and lots of visiting. Great place for family reunion

Great place for a family gathering! Plenty of room for sleeping, relaxing, meal prep and enjoying the beautiful river. Our family loved that kayaks, canoes and tubes were provided for our use. The most perfect weekend getaway imaginable!!

We rented this absolutely beautiful riverfront home for a combination Mother's Day and 50th Anniversary celebration for my wife's parents. We had 19 people in all, including grandparents down to the grandchildren in the home and it was so perfect, we all want to make this an annual tradition for Mother's Day! This is an absolutely dreamy property! So peaceful, so beautiful, just what the soul needs to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life! I personally loved having my morning tea down by the crystal clear waters of the Guadalupe River (which I've been visiting since I was a child) and just listening to the birds, watching the deer graze across the way, and gobbling back and forth with the male turkey that hung out with us all weekend across the river. We also checked off a bucket-list item for several of us by getting to watch a ring-tailed cat race up and down the trees like a curious new friend. Such a great experience, all around! This house is laid out perfect for large groups, everyone had a comfortable bed, and the kids LOVED having their own bunkhouse to stay up and party until 2 am together! 🙂 . Cannot recommend this home highly enough!

Way Beyond our Expectations!!!!!

It was amazing!!!! It was beautiful,, clean, FULLY stocked with high quality everything. It is as big as it looks in the pictures, or even more roomy. We has 14 people stay so comfortably. The office staff was so helpful and the check in and out process was so easy!! The yard/waterfront is beautiful, even better than the pictures. The exterior bath is brand new and so nice!!! The pavilion and fire pit were great! We used the pavilion as a proposal site and it was absolutely perfect!!! Could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay!! I am pretty picky and I would highly recommend this place. We are already trying to find a good reason to go back!!!

Very nice Lake House!

We had a really nice stay over spring break. The property was clean and has a breathtaking view of the lake. The kayaks/canoe that was on the property was an added bonus plus the gazebo with a very nice firepit. Overall, it was a great stay.

Great weekend retreat!

Beautiful home! Plenty of room for the 17 people in our party. The river is beautiful! Everything was in very good shape, and very clean. Kitchen pots and pans were new, the smoker/grill down by the river was a great place to cook out and watch the children play in the river. The river has a slow moving current, and gnerally not deeper than about 4’. The kids had a great time playing in the water! Overall great experience!

Girlfriend getaway

This house is very roomy and we loved how it sat right on the river. New Braunfels Escapes were fabulous to work with. The game room was pretty hot when we got there but cooled off over night. The house could use some fans in every room for the hot Texas summers. This rental would be even better if the owner fixed her up a bit but over all we loved our stay. Little Ponderous Outfitters is a great outfitter for your floating needs and is right down the road from the house. We would stay here again for sure.

Summer Trip 2017

The house was clean, well stocked and the rental staff provided great service. We contacted them regarding lights in the yard not working. Someone was there the next day and also fixed a few minor things while there. There is a River Service located right down the street that is easy to work with and very helpful. We had a great time.

Great place for a family weekend!

We enjoyed the downstairs area and front porch especially, to sit and visit. The kitchen worked well for our meal preparation, but could use some better pots and pans. We appreciated the grill. All in all, we had a great weekend!

River Vacation

This was a great rental property with an excellent location. The house was clean and comfortable and the extra game room with bunk beds really came in handy. I don't think the pictures do this house justice. I was really impressed with the overall appearance of the house and the property. The only negative thing I can say about the property is that the little notes/rules through out the house from the owner were pretty annoying.
